Westin Hotel gets new GM

westinDaniel Muhor has been appointed as General Manger of Westin Dhaka – a five-star hotel in Dhaka.

Daniel, an Australian national born in Geelong, Victoria, was educated at The Geelong College. He completed his Bachelor of Business in Catering and Hotel Management at Victoria University of Technology, Melbourne Australia, said a press release on Sunday.

Daniel’s most recent postings with Starwood include, pre-opening Hotel Manager of The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, India, pre-opening Hotel Manager at The Westin Guangzhou, China and EAM pre-opening at Le Meridien Khao Lak Beach and Spa Resort, Phang Nga, Thailand and EAM operations at Le Meridien at Rialto Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia.

In his past three hotel openings, Daniel worked with world renowned architects, interior designers and graphic designers and builders including the famous Super Potato from Japan and Chhada Siembieda from Sydney, Australia, Wilsons from Singapore and Corlette Design also from Sydney, Australia.

Daniel has been appointed because of his new age approach, existing knowledge in the Westin brand and his pre-opening experience and by working closely with the owning company particularly Noor Ali we are confident the Westin Dhaka will remain the number one five star hotel in Dhaka for many years to come, and are excited about any new potential openings that may come to light, the hotel source said.
