Uttara Motors as AMW Motors dealer for Bangladesh now

images (3)AMW Motors Uttara Motors as its dealer for Bangladesh (AMW), India’s third largest heavy commercial vehicle manufacturer, will make foray into Bangladesh.

It has announced appointment of Uttara Motors as its dealer for Bangladesh to provide customers a full range of services including vehicle sales, maintenance and repair, and spare parts support.

“This appointment is a positive beginning of our interest in expanding our footprint in Bangladesh,??? AMW Managing Director Anirudh Bhuwalka told the Dhaka Tribune through e-mail.

“We are entering into an association with one of Bangladesh’s most progressive companies and are confident of a bright future ahead for both companies.???

Uttara Group of Companies was established in March 1972 and is one of the leading industrial, trading and agency houses in Bangladesh.

The Group is also the largest dealer of automobiles in the country, representing leading Indian and Japanese automobile companies. Its portfolio of representations includes Suzuki, Bajaj Motor cycles and Autorickshaws, Maruti, Bridgestone Tyres and a number of other companies in the pharmaceuticals, readymade garments and fashion wear sectors.

Bangladesh is fast growing market for medium and heavy commercial vehicles, with a number of large projects in infrastructure sectors like power, shipbuilding and ports, roads and highways.

AMW Motors has a product portfolio that covers haulage vehicles, of which there is a growing need in port and general applications and also tippers for a wide range of standard and special applications.

AMW offers trucks ranging from 16 to 49 tonnes and has pioneered several segments in the Indian CV market.
