Nestle to support healthy kids programme

p17_nestle_83127Nestle Bangladesh Limited signed Tuesday a Memorandum of Understanding with Dr Md Nazrul Islam Khan, Professor, Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Dhaka (DU) for conducting ‘Nestle Healthy Kids Programme’ as a part of the company’s global programme, the company said.

This training module has been jointly prepared by Nestle Bangladesh and Dr Md Nazrul Islam Khan. Nutrition experts of the DU will conduct the programme in 22 schools of Gazipur district covering 3,000 students by the end of this year, Nestle said in a statement.

As part of the ‘Creating Shared Value’ (CSV) projects, Nestle Bangladesh Limited has been active in sharing nutritional knowledge through nutrition experts of the country with health professionals and other general people and also involved in CSV activities, such as providing clean drinking water facilities and sanitation for the girl students in rural schools since it started manufacturing products in Bangladesh.
