City Bank American Express to provide world-class healthcare in Malaysia for customers

00DHAKA, Nov 10: City Bank American Express has tied up with Malaysian Healthcare Services Ltd (MHSL) and Healthtour4u Sdn Bhd (HT4U) to provide its valued customers extraordinary benefits and savings on world class healthcare in Malaysia. Sohail RK Hussain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of The City Bank Ltd made the declaration through a press conference at the head office of the bank in the city on Saturday (9 November 2013) . The press conference was organised by The City Bank Ltd.
Hussain said that Malaysia has been recognised as a new medical destination for Bangladeshis for its great facilities and affordable price. Under the offer, City Bank American Express Credit card members can avail a “Healthcare4U Membership Card??? which gives them up to 30 per cent savings at four renowned hospitals in Malaysia namely KPJ Healthcare, Sunway Medical Centre, Ramsam Sime Darby Healthcare and Global Doctors Specialist centre.
In addition, card members can keep and track his every medical history over the internet for any further use.
The offer also includes special healthcare screening packages at choice of panel hospitals, royalty programmes with hotels and airlines, the managing director also said.
Addressing as chief guest, Norlin Binti Othman, High Commissioner of Malaysia in Bangladesh said that healthcare in Malaysia is so regulated that patients receiving medical care can have peace of mind and need not worry about the quality of care received.

“Under the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act 1998, the Malaysian government monitors the quality of healthcare,??? said the ambassador.

“The medical practitioners are qualified and registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (MMC),??? she also added.
The number and range of specialist hospitals, clinics and dental surgeries have increased tremendously all over the nation in the last decade.  The healthcare services throughout the country is maintaining world-class standard and medical cost in Malaysia, the Malaysian Ambassador also informed.

Mashrur Arefin, deputy director of The City Bank Ltd said that Malaysia has seen a positive increase of visitors seeking medical treatment, medical expertise and tourism appeal and attractions. Moreover, the medical treatment in Malaysia is comparatively cheap from Thailand and Singapore.

The inauguration of the membership card and exclusive offers was also addressed among others by Rubel Aziz, chairman, Majharul Islam, head of cards of The City Bank, Dr. Mary Wong Lai Lin, chief executive officer of Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council(MHTC), Mohan Manthiry, managing director of HT4U. The press event was followed by an interactive health talk seminar conducted by renowned medical consultants from Malaysia.
